Central Station

The walk starts outside in front of the station. Inside, the magnificent entrance hall with its monumental dome can safely compete with the finest city palaces. Stairs take us to the perons, which are covered by a gigantic steelwork canopy. 

Between 2000 and 2009, the railway hall doubled in capacity to include platforms on two underground levels. Trains used to have to go in and then out again. Now they can continue, thanks to the railway tunnel between the station and the north of the city.

Centraal Station has been voted one of the most beautiful stations in the world on several occasions.
